Creative brief

BT’s internal brand team commissioned a visually-led film to celebrate the people behind the business, its engineers, support teams, creatives, and coordinators. This wasn’t about job titles or departments. It was about the faces that make up BT.

With the slogan “The best companies are built from the inside out,” the creative concept was simple but powerful: a continuous stream of portraits showing the real people who define the company. The goal was to instill pride and a sense of unity across the workforce through elegant, human-focused visual storytelling.

Our approach

Little Shadow was brought in to craft the final edit, one that needed to land with both technical precision and emotional clarity. The core creative challenge lay in the structure: a seamless, uninterrupted flow of faces, cut together without distraction or embellishment.

To make this visually coherent, we developed a consistent eye-line and spatial alignment across every shot. Each portrait was subtly repositioned in post so that key facial features aligned—particularly the eyes—creating a hypnotic, rhythmic progression of human connection. This was not just about continuity; it was about reinforcing the message that these individuals are united, equal, and central to BT’s identity.

We applied gentle refinements to maintain visual balance across varied lighting and framing, ensuring the focus stayed on the people, not the production. By holding restraint in the edit—no music build-ups, no flashy transitions—the emotional impact of seeing one face after another took centre stage.

The results

Delivered as an internal communications asset, the film became a keystone in BT’s internal brand engagement efforts. Its message resonated widely across the business, reinforcing the idea that every person matters—and that BT’s strength truly is its people.
