Curious Productions brought Little Shadow on board to create a vibrant, informative 2D animation for E.ON, encouraging customers to consider switching their energy supply. The advert needed to be concise, friendly, and clear, with a visual language that mirrored E.ON’s brand personality: confident, optimistic, and customer-first.

Our Approach

We designed a 2D animation that communicated the switching process in simple, engaging steps. Working in After Effects with Illustrator-based assets, we created clean, motion-driven visuals that used line-based transitions, iconography, and stylised text to guide viewers through key benefits.

The tone was warm and upbeat, supported by bright colour blocking, dynamic typography, and a rhythmic pacing that kept energy high while retaining clarity. The animation was formatted for digital advertising and online campaign rollout, including scalable versions for different screen ratios.

The Results

The final advert functioned as an accessible explainer for prospective customers, helping demystify the energy switching process and supporting E.ON’s brand goals of transparency and simplicity. The animation was deployed across web and social platforms as part of a wider energy marketing push.
