Creative Brief

Commissioned by Pablo London, Little Shadow was invited to contribute visual content for the GREAT Campaign’s Ever-Changing Statue conference, held in New York City, to showcase the UK’s leadership in the global tech economy. The centrepiece of the event was a dynamic holographic installation celebrating figures from the UK’s $1 trillion tech sector. Our role was to bring this vision to life through immersive visuals, storytelling assets, and a seamless media experience that aligned with the campaign’s ambition: to position the UK as the most innovative tech ecosystem in Europe.

Our Approach

The event’s core concept-a constantly evolving digital sculpture-required highly considered VFX and motion design. We worked closely with Pablo and the hologram technology provider to develop content compatible with Hypervision, a cutting-edge holographic display system. This involved bespoke pre-visualisation, technical mapping, and visual design tailored to the rotating blades and light persistence of the Hypervision units.

In addition to the hologram sequence, we produced a suite of supporting media: an introductory film profiling the UK’s key tech figures and startup leaders, and a pre-roll that opened the conference. These were designed to reflect the campaign’s tone: confident, modern, and aspirational. Each asset highlighted diversity, innovation, and global relevance, positioning the UK not just as a historic powerhouse, but a future-facing digital economy.

Motion elements were rendered in After Effects and Cinema 4D, optimised for event playback and motion blur considerations unique to the Hypervision format. The introductory film included dynamic typography, stock integration, and subtle FX overlays that supported a fast-paced, engaging delivery.

The Results

The event drew high-profile attendees from the UK and US tech sectors, with the hologram installation and motion content singled out for their inventiveness and polish. Our work helped set the tone for the conference and reinforced the UK’s brand as a global tech leader through striking, contemporary visuals.
