The Other Mrs Jordan is a gripping three-part true-crime documentary on ITVX, unravelling the shocking deception of a man who led multiple lives with multiple families. October Films approached Little Shadow to design a comprehensive graphics package that would serve both the emotional tone and the investigative complexity of the story. Our brief was to visualise digital traces, structure timelines, and support the storytelling without compromising its sensitivity.

Our Approach

This project demanded emotional precision-every graphic needed to feel integrated, authentic, and carefully attuned to the lived experiences of those affected. We delivered a suite of visuals including:

• Email and message recreations: Faithfully styled to the era and platforms referenced, with careful framing to avoid sensationalism.

• Dating website interfaces: Designed to evoke real-world usage while retaining visual clarity on screen.

• Timelines and maps: Animated to guide viewers through overlapping relationships, geography, and key events.

• VFX compositing: Integrated graphics onto physical footage to show messages appearing on phones, laptops, and documents in motion.

• Title sequence: A minimalist but impactful sequence that introduces the series with an air of unease and discovery-set against a stark visual language of concealment and duplication.

All elements were built to match the pacing and aesthetic of the edit, with modular flexibility to respond to late-stage narrative developments.

The Results

Premiering on ITVX, The Other Mrs Jordan reached wide audiences and critical attention. Our graphics work helped deepen the immersion, supporting the emotional truth of the series while aiding narrative clarity across complex, interwoven stories.
