Creative Brief
As part of TK Maxx’s Christmas campaign, Crxss Agency and Curious Productions developed Stocko, a bold, cheeky sock character designed to bring festive fun to the brand’s print advertising. Little Shadow was brought in to adapt the 3D character for motion and extend the campaign into a suite of animated spots and social assets.
The brief: bring Socko to life for screen, add supporting 2D graphics, and create playful, brand-aligned animations fit for retail media and online platforms.
Our Approach
Working from Curious’s 3D Socko model, we optimised it for animation, retopologising the mesh where necessary and rigging the character for expressive movement. Our animations were short-form, high-energy, and designed to loop or sit comfortably across a variety of TK Maxx campaign placements.
We developed supporting 2D graphic elements-titles, speech bubbles, festive textures-that complemented Socko’s personality and aligned with TK Maxx’s bold visual identity. These were layered in After Effects to maintain flexibility across formats.
Each clip featured character action synced with campaign voiceovers or captions, and was packaged for multiple aspect ratios-ensuring clean playback across in-store, social, and web platforms.
The Results
The animated Socko spots were delivered as a festive addition to TK Maxx’s Christmas campaign, extending the character’s presence across more touchpoints and adding a dose of animated charm to the retail brand’s holiday storytelling.
