The fully CGI-created animation of the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser advert, stands as a testament to a successful collaboration between Curious Productions and Gravity Road. From the initial concept meetings – the creative slogan, “Velvetise into Happiness” was crafted. We opted for the route of fully CG, rather than live action components, to give us more leniency with changes through production. Through clever use of emerging AI technology, we were able to create a set of mood-boards to help the client and our team visualise what the final vision could be. Our 3D pipeline facilitated rapid iteration, enabling daily progress reviews  – meaning that throughout it was a collaborative environment.Our animators worked closely with project designers and brand experts to ensure that the sleek design of the products, and the viewers rich chocolate experience were rendered in stunning realism. This partnership not only brought the product to life in a visually exciting way but also demonstrated the power of collaboration in pushing the boundaries of what CGI can achieve.
